THE WRONG BIENNALE
Collection of 3D artworks situated on a model of Jerusalem City. This is not a map is an attempt to expand the hospitality of the city, inviting art to explore an image of what could have been. With the technological leaps of recent decades, city maps and models have become remarkably accurate, detailed and realistic. Technological tools are constantly contributing towards our capabilities to plan, construct and navigate our cities. The advancements made in these fields have been so significant that the digital space is quickly becoming a mirror of reality. The exhibition adds another layer to the model of Jerusalem by accommodating 3D artworks. Rather than using the model to reflect reality, this is not a map makes room for the fictional and the impossible within the boundaries of the city landscape.
